I've tried everything. How do I know if the Therapeutix® System will work for me?
Therapeutix® was created to address this concern. A majority of Dr. Luftman’s patients complained that they’ve tried everything and that nothing worked as well as they wanted it to. Based on a clinical trial at an independent lab, research indicates that over 89% of people with mild to moderate acne will see a reduced amount of acne within 4 weeks. The key to success is to keep using the system to maintain clear skin.

Is the Therapeutix® System safe for all ethnicities?
Yes. Therapeutix® is safe for all skin types and ethnicities.

Is the Therapeutix® System safe for teenagers?
Yes. Therapeutix® was developed and formulated for young adults between the ages of 12-35. It can benefit people of all ages. Please contact your personal physician if you have concerns about using Therapeutix®.

Is the Therapeutix® System FDA approved?
Since the Therapeutix® System is available without a prescription; it is not required to go through the FDA approval process. However the FDA has strict guidelines for over-the-counter products. Therapeutix® products follow those guidelines. Consumer safety is of the utmost concern.

When should I expect to see results from using the Therapeutix® System?
In independent clinical testing, the Therapeutix® System reduced acne by an average of 50% in just 4 weeks. 89% of those tested, had less acne in just four weeks. While some people experience a clearing of their acne this quickly, most will clear within 6-8 weeks on the average. Still others will find that a complete clearing of their complexion takes anywhere from 3-6 months. This is achieved through the recommended and consistent use (twice a day) of the system.

The Therapeutix® System is free from fragrances because they can cause irritation to sensitive skin and can sometimes cause allergic reactions.

AcneZone Technology™ is a powerful and dynamic blend of time-released 0.5% Salicylic Acid combined with several effective ingredients including Azelaic Acid, Retinol, Glycolic Acid, and Zinc. Its time-released delivery allows for safer, long-term permeation at a constant dosage. This innovative combination works synergistically to treat acne and reduce redness, skin discoloration, and the appearance of acne scarring.

Do Therapeutix® products contain steroids?
No. Our products do not contain steroids.

Does Therapeutix® test on animals?
No. Therapeutix® products are not tested on animals.

What are the pH balances of Therapeutix® products?
The pH Balance in Clarity Clarifying Cleanser is 5.13-5.21, in Care & Repair SPF 15 it is 6.89-7.5, in Clear Complex Night Lotion it is 5.14-5.28, and in Emergency Outbreak Stick it is 4.55-4.60.

Is there a cure for acne?
Unfortunately, acne cannot be cured. However acne can be treated and controlled with continued daily use of the Therapeutix® System.

Can the quality of water (hard, purified or soft) affect the results I get with the Therapeutix® System?
No.

How should I store my Therapeutix® System?
For best results, store at room temperature.

Are larger or smaller bottles of Therapeutix® products available?
Therapeutix® acne treatment system was designed to last 60 days with average use. Currently, we do not offer larger or smaller bottles.

Is the Therapeutix® System made in the U.S.A?
Yes. We take pride in the fact that the Therapeutix® System, which consists of three products (1) Clarity Clarifying Cleanser, (2) Care & Repair SPF 15 Sunscreen Moisturizing Lotion, (3) Clear Complex Night Lotion and the packaging they come in, are all Made in the U.S.A.

Therapeutix® and Other Acne Medications

Can I use the Therapeutix® System with other acne medications?
The Therapeutix® System was formulated to work well with prescription medications prescribed for acne by a dermatologist. We recommend consulting your dermatologist before combining.

Allergies and Medical Conditions

Will I have an allergic reaction to any Therapeutix® products?
It is very unlikely. All of the products are hypo-allergenic, meaning that they were formulated and designed to have a decreased tendency to provoke an allergic reaction. All Therapeutix® products were tested by independent labs, are Dermatologist-Tested, and were found in clinical studies not to cause skin irritation or allergic contact dermatitis in human subjects.

How can I test for an allergic reaction?
Apply a small amount of the product to the nape (back) of your neck, or to the underside of your neck at the jaw line for three days. People who are allergic to salicylic acid may experience red, itchy bumps in the affected area. If no redness or irritation appears, you will probably not have an allergic reaction. If redness persists, discontinue using the product. If redness continues after you have stopped using the product, consult a doctor.

Do Therapeutix® acne treatment products have any side effects?
Side effects are rare. When they occur, they are usually mild, and include drying or irritation in some users who are sensitive to salicylic acid. If you are concerned or desire more information, we recommend you discuss with your physician.

Is the Therapeutix® System safe to use while pregnant or nursing?
When considering a topical acne cream during pregnancy or while nursing, be sure to discuss it with your physician to ensure that you are doing everything that you can do to protect your baby.

Will taking birth control pills affect my acne?
We recommend consulting your dermatologist or physician to find out if the use of birth control pills as a way to help control or treat acne is right for you.

General Usage

Will the Therapeutix® System work if I use the products individually instead of as a system?
The Therapeutix® System is a combination of products working together to fight acne, each enhancing the effectiveness of the others. You will receive optimum results by using them as directed.

Can I use Therapeutix® products on my body as well as my face?
Yes, you can use the Therapeutix® System on most acne-prone areas.

Can I wear makeup over the Therapeutix® System?
Yes, you can still wear makeup, but always look for products that are non-comedogenic and oil-free. Also, Therapeutix® Clarity Clarifying Cleanser can be used to remove makeup!

Does the Therapeutix® System helps with wrinkles?
Yes. The Therapeutix® System does help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The Care & Repair SPF 15 sunscreen moisturizing lotion combines patented anti-aging peptide Matrixyl 3000™ with skin-brightening licorice root extract. Together, this powerful blend lifts, smoothes and resurfaces the skin, helping to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving the appearance of skin discoloration caused by melasma, sun damage and acne. It also contains Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) and Vitamin E complex that helps the age-defying process by promoting the healing and hydration of the skin. Furthermore, Clear Complex Night Lotion contains Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) and Glycolic Acid for maintaining a more youthful skin condition. Glycolic Acid increases the collagen production of the skin and helps the skin’s hydration. This hydration of the skin contributes to the skin’s elasticity, resilience and wrinkle reduction.

How do I use the Therapeutix® System?
In the morning:
Step 1: Clarity Clarifying Cleanser – Apply to dampened skin. Gently massage into skin and rinse thoroughly with water. Pat dry. Use in the morning before applying Care & Repair SPF 15.*
Step 2: Care & Repair SPF 15 – Apply liberally to face and neck at least once a day after using Clarity Clarifying Cleanser in the morning and before sun exposure. To be used before applying makeup.*
At night:
Step 1: Clarity Clarifying Cleanser – Apply to dampened skin. Gently massage into skin and rinse thoroughly with water. Pat dry. Use at night before applying Clear Complex Night Lotion.*
Step 2: Clear Complex Night Lotion – Cover the affected area with a thin layer nightly. Allow to dry.*

Sun Exposure

Should I use an SPF sunscreen lotion while treating acne?
Absolutely! The Therapeutix® System is different than most acne treatment systems in that it includes an SPF sunscreen lotion as part of the system. Dr. Luftman believes that protecting your skin from the sun while using acne treatment products and keeping it hydrated is essential to receiving the best results possible. That’s why Therapeutix® Care & Repair SPF 15 Sunscreen Moisturizing Lotion is included as part of the Therapeutix® System.

Aren’t sunscreen lotions too oily to use while treating acne?
Not Therapeutix® Care & Repair SPF 15 Sunscreen Moisturizing Lotion. With its oil-free formula filled with peptides and vitamins, Care & Repair SPF 15 Sunscreen was developed specifically for acne-prone skin. It will not clog your pores.

Is it safe to use the Therapeutix® System when using a tanning bed?
Since the ingredients used in the Therapeutix® acne treatment products may make your skin more sensitive, we suggest that you avoid tanning beds. However, self-tanners or bronzers from a bottles may be used.

I am outside in direct sunlight most of the day. Is it safe to use the Therapeutix® System?
Yes, that is precisely why the Therapeutix® System includes an SPF 15 sunscreen. Be sure to apply the Care & Repair SPF 15 sunscreen throughout the day if you must be in direct sunlight throughout the day.
